This current session is PRODUCER’S CHOICE which means we (Producers of this fabulous show: PINK-SATIN & Mizz OPEKE) have decided on the choice of songs for the remaining contestants to sing…

So go ahead & Listen to how Abbie belts out Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love”…did she wow u ???

Here comes the comic of the house, Omo-Ibadan, as he tries to steal your hearts and votes with “PÈRÈ” by Mo’Hits All Stars…Do you still think he is kéré???

If I know, Good Naija Girl, she won’t let that happen because she’s in the “Greenland” with Ty Bello…who wants to join her there???

I know Geisha does and although she’s not going to write you a “Love Song” now but once you vote for her, she will be hooking up with Sara Bareilles to write one for her fans…Can U wait???

While Dammy tells the world that “No One” can do it the way he does with Alicia Keys...Has he been able to prove that today???

We are getting closer to crowning a winner!!! BLOGVILLE, you have voted and three contestants will be going home right now!!!!

SATURDAY JULY 12 2008 ELIMINATION ELIMINATION













The contestants sang out their hearts to melodious Nigerian beats!!!Geisha even showed her patriotism by a rendition of the National Anthem,Goodnaija girl sounded like a true omo yoruba with her rendition on OLo mi one would think she speaks yoruba fluently, Archiwiz,Brownsugar and Dammy were captivated by Lagbaja they all delivered it so well, we didnt mind hearing the song 3ce,Tears was HOT with her fire on the Mountain we could feel d HEAT,Charizard's runaway was awesome, the way he belted out those notes i thought i had runaway to heaven,Lighty's wonderful voice took us straight to Ijoba orun, Omoibadan(ROTFL)that was truly entertaining..Dbanj has nothing on you-LMAO & Abbie,Abbie what can i say... job well done.

... here is the part we hate but is inevitable, ELIMINATION...well somebody has to go!!!The TWO contestants with the lowest votes are ARCHIWIZ and LIGHTY.A round of applause for them..paa paaa paaa paaa paaaa paaa....You guys rawked...Thank you for participating in idol 08

UNBIASED-Thank you! Oh! Thank you! I can hardly believe this! I feel so blessed! Oh, thank you again! I just want everyone to know that even in my wildest hallucinations, I never would have fantasized that this could ever happen to me. And to the other brilliant contestants, I want each of you to know how totally wonderful competing alongside you made me feel!You know when they first told me I was nominated, I just had to take a minute and obsess about how great my experiences would have been. I guess it all just makes me feel kinda special. So sad it all had to end.I want to thank the amazing producers, who looked deep within their time bank before giving me this fantastic oppportunity! Also, I want to thank God, for being such a powerful force in my life. And to Mom, who taught me to take life by the horns. To everyone else, I couldn't have done it without you! Thank you Blogville, and good night!

THE 13 Contestants for Blogville Idol 2008 are...

Archiwiz, Good Naija Girl, Abbie, Ibiluv, Tears, Charizard, Brown sugar, Geisha, OmoIbadan, fresh n fabulous, Lighty, Unbiased, & Dammy

Give it up for the HOST of BLOGVILLE IDOL season II 30+ !!!
WE KNOW SHE'S GONNA ROCK!!!

The competition starts JULY 7th 2008

RULES!!!

CONTESTANTS
~ Will be singing on Mondays and Thursday
~ One song per a recording session
~ Your song must be 1 minutes in length at most 1 minute 20 seconds.
~ Your song will be sung by YOU and you alone! No Ojoro
~ You will be notified when to submit your songs for each contest session
~ You will be allowed to sing song of your choice, Blogger’s choice genre and any song given to you by the producers
~ You may sing an acapella or use instruments ,ur own made beats or sing
over a soundtrack.
~ You are expected to make your voice really clear and audible
~ You will state your blog name before and after your song

VOTERS
~ Voting is open to all Blogville residents and visitors.
~ One vote per person
~ Voters will vote via a voting poll add on which will be available soon
~ Voters are allowed to leave a written comment on d Blogville idol page on anything concerning the contest(singers,songs e.tc)
~ Voters/all bloggers would be contributing by letting us know what Genre they want the contestants to sing


HOST
~ Host will usher in the show and wrap up the show
~ Host will announce the contestant with least votes for the :
Monday Session: Wednesday morning
Thursday Session: Saturday Morning












Contest is starting on Monday, July 7th 2008
The singing will end on Monday, July 21st
Winner will be announced wednesday July 23rd (after two days of voting)

Contest will take place for a duration of three(3) weeks

There will be 13 contestants

Contest days are Monday & Thurday with Elimination to be announced Wednesday morning &Saturday morning respectively

The Grand Finale will feature the two finalists and they will sing two songs of their choice.

The session are as follows:

Week 1
1st session-Monday, July 7th 2008-Song of your choice
2nd session-Thursday, July 10th , 2008-9ja song of your choice

Week 2
3rd session-Monday, July 14, 2008-bloggers choice
4th session-4th session-Thursday, July 17, 2008-producers choice song

Week 3
5th session (Final Session)-July 21st, 2008-5th (Final session)-Two songs of your choice

Results will be announced WEDNESDAY 23rd JULY 2008
